This is a Fine Art photo of the 'BUSTER BROWN SHOES' sign. In 2004, Buster Brown children's shoes celebrated it's 100th birthday. The company's logo is based on the comic strip character of Buster Brown and Tige his dog. The shoes were introduced at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair and are still available today. The characters were created by Richard Felton Outcault and had appeared, at one time or other, in the New York Herald and the Hearst papers. The comic strip was last seen in 1921. For another shoe company sign, see Red Goose Shoes.
