This is a Fine Art photo of the Node, Wyoming sign. It is located 9 miles east of Lusk on Highway 20. The post office in Node, Wyoming was first opened in July, 1919. At that time the Bell Ranch was the largest ranch around and its brand was a knot or node; hence the name. Node, Wyoming, what a great name, Node. It just calls to you in a certain odd way. "Hi, I am from Node." or "Do you Node the way to San Jose, Jack?" or "Do you Node anything?" One can see this to be an endless subject, so it must stop now. Once again back on track, it is of interest that the post office sign does not have a ZIP code. The term ZIP, is an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan, which was inaugurated 1963. In 1986 Node had a population of three and it had no need for a zip code.
