This is a Fine Art Photograph of the Emma sign, located on Highway 82 in Emma, Colorado which is only a short drive from famous Aspen. Several years ago the building was purchased by a developer who is now in the process of saving its very delicate condition. Many of the bricks had fallen from the walls and it was close to simply falling down, luckily, the new owner saved it in time. In the process the old sign was taken down and stored while renovations are proceeding. It is unclear as to what this large brick building was, it simply has been empty for 50 years, so memory fades on the details. It is fortunate that both building and the sign have been saved. Emma is just charming, it only has a small vintage school house used for community events and a new church, called 'Grace'. There is no post office or grocery store. It was definitely a farming and ranch area and there many farms left today. The roads through Emma winds on narrow country paths and there is beauty around very corner.
