This famous cereal company was founded in 1901 with Canadian roots. It has a major production factory in Peterborough, Ontario. Even though, there was a very tragic fire on December 11, 1916 where 23 people died the Quaker Oats Company of Ontario was determined to rebuild. They have been the leading cereal company in the northern part of the world. In 2001 Pepsi purchased Quaker Oats, expanding a world wide conglomerate into the moniker "QTG", meaning Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade. Creating food to provide to a world population. "Get up and Go food' to start the day with healthy snacks to eat in between.
