This is a Fine Art photo of the 'That A Way' Centre Motel neon sign lighting up the night sky in Elko, Nevada. This is a superb example of the intricate design of a 1950s neon. Once people began to adventure about the United States on family vacations, neon signs were the best way to attract attention and to be able to put up your 'No Vacancy' sign early in the evening. This motel is still in business today. To stay more current, the owners have shortened the name to the "Centre Motel", but definitely have kept up that great old neon sign. Since it is right on Route 66, it has the perfect address for weary travelers. The Centre Motel has been updated and remodeled. All of the furniture has been brought up to a more modern standard, but the room rates are reasonable and the staff, very friendly.
