This is a Fine Art photo of the 'The Rabbit Ears Motel' vintage neon sign which is located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This sign delightfully wins the prize for "Strangest Neon Sign Ever." This creepy pink bunny has been a Steamboat Springs landmark since the late 1970s. "I can't believe that the city would attack the Rabbit Ears neon sign, it's such an amazing piece of art." Says Martin Garfinkel, photographer. Owner Ron Koehler definitely agrees. Mr. Koehler has spent thousands in legal fees to keep his beloved neon up and running. Finally, The 'Rabbit Ears' neon sign was vindicated in the early 1980s when the city fathers 'grandfathered' it in. Happily in 2003 the famously odd 'Rabbit Ears Motel' neon sign was placed on the Routt County Historic Register. Hurray for persistence, Mr. Koehler. If you are an odd person, which there many out there, then you or an odd friend deserves to own this Rabbit Ears photo, no doubt about it.
