This is a Fine Art photo of 'The Prospector Lodge' neon sign located in Moab, Utah. The action in this sign is awesome, the miner moves back and forth with his pick axe. These old action neons were skillfully created. The only moving object in the piece are actually the lights going on and off. This is an excellent example of the early Uranium mining days during the boom of the 1950s. The Prospector Lodge neon sign is one of only a few left from that era, the lodge was torn down in 2001, however, the owners of the tourist attraction "Hole N' the Rock" saved the neon sign and moved it to their location along Route 191. Bravo to these people who knew enough to save such an important piece of Americana history.
