The Seaview Cottages are located, no doubt, somewhere near where you can have a view of the sea. The location appears to be very much like those wonderful 1920s bungalows found along the old coastal route of Highway 101 starting in Santa Monica, at the same point where Route 66 ends. Highway 101 is one of the most spectacular drives in the United States, it takes you through movie star's front yards in Malibu, through the romantic coves of Morro Bay and the stunning town of San Simeon with the view of Heartz Castle which was once owned by the billionaire William Randolf Heartz. 101 continues on to pass by Monterey and the boardwalk hamlet of Santa Cruz, then onto the magnificent city of San Fransisco. Certainly time to stop and rest. After a night's lodging then back onto 101 to Fort Bragg, Eureka and the unbelievable drive through Redwood National Park. Perhaps, over night in Crescent City for a steaming plate of lobster or crab. Then on to the Oregon Coast for more inspiring views. Highway 101 ends just short of the town of Astoria, before crossing over into Washington State.
