This is a Fine Art photo of the "Mule Shoe Hotel" sign located in Muleshoe, Texas. The Mule Shoe Hotel is no longer operating, but what a great name and memorable sign. Given that not much is happening there today with a population of around 5,000, it makes sense that there is not such a big call for motels. This little town was founded in 1913 when the Pecos and Northern Texas Railway completed its line from Farewll to Lubbock through northern Bailey County. Today Muleshoe has created new revenue by opening The Muleshoe Water Park. It boasts of having a huge outdoor pool with a lazy river running through it complete with diving boards and water slides. Buy me a ticket today. I'll go by Greyhound bus where you can find the strangest people in the world. Here I come Muleshoe Water Park. I hope they have Water Wings for fat ladies.
