This is a Fine Art photograph of The Branding Iron's neon sign. Luckily for the residence of Merced and surrounding areas The Branding Iron restaurant is still operating. It opened its doors in 1952 and have been faithfully serving up the best steaks around for half a century. The Branding Iron caterers to the taste of the California ranching community. The decor is definitely a walk back in time, with over 200 different cattle brands on display through out the dining room. The Branding Iron sign is 50 years old and has been designated a historical landmark by the city of Merced. The proud owners, Kara and Greg Parle are still very active in riding shot gun on the quality of their food. There would be no other way to explain why generations of families keep returning to eat at The Branding Iron restaurant.
