This is a Fine Art photo of the 'Spur Bar' sign in Challis, Idaho One of the richest mineral belts of North America, Challis was founded in 1876 as a supply town for ranching and mining. The old Spur Bar opened its doors in the 1930s to quench the thirst of cow hands and miners. The Spur is no longer open, but sits as a reminder of a time when working with your hands commanded great respect. The vintage photo of this great neon sign of the Spur Bar would look great in a cow boy's bunk house.
