This is a Fine Art photo of the "The Night Hawk Club' sign. This once swinging place pays homage to famous oil painting by Edward Hopper, simply called NIGHTHAWKS (1942). It captures the feeling of people who are attracted to the anonymity of the night, who like, the silent predator birds, they hunt through the dark shades, usually landing at their favorite bar or diner to join the other restless souls that enjoy the protection of dark. Tom Waits has a great album called "NIGHT HAWKS AT THE DINER", definitely another homage to Hopper's famous painting. There is certainly a sub culture of people who roam at night and in their explorations find need for food and drink. Night owls, as they have been called, live to a different beat, the nocturnal heart beat of the unseen. This is a great photo to hang in your bar area, especially, if you are a fan of the rising resurgence of all things 1950s.
