This is a Fine Art photo of the DOC HOLLIDAY TAVERN sign in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The Doc Holliday Tavern has quite the history. When John Henry, "Doc" Holliday came to Glenwood Springs in 1887 this tavern was a mercantile store just a few doors down from the sanatorium where "Doc" died of consumption. The actual back bar, as it is today, was transported from Leadville, Colorado, where Doc Holliday hung his hat to drink and recount his adventures. The neon sign is a landmark in Glenwood Springs, when lit one can see the six shooter firing right above the entrance door to the tavern. It is a remarkable neon sign calling patrons in to see the pictures that hang on the walls of this famous Western watering hole named after Doc Holliday. His life was short (1851 to 1887), but his memory lives on. This is the perfect gift for any Western history enthusiast. A fine art photo of the Doc Holliday sign will be much appreciated by any collector.
