BUSY BEE CAFÉ The most well known species of bee is the European Honey Bee. This bee is in, some ways, the keeper of life. It is responsible for creating the wonderful nectar known as honey, but also pollinating several hundreds of varieties of flowers, vegetables and trees which feed us. Within the hive society there are three distinct types of bees; the Queen Bee, whose life span is three to four years, the Worker Bees which live, perhaps, two weeks and finally the Drone Bee who meets his demise upon mating. The bee is one of the most important living insects on the planet, its ability to pollinate the food we depend on gives the bee the status of a super star in the realm of survival.
