Fine Art Black and White photo of a famous Aspen, Colorado biker. Howard was a motorcycle mechanic genius. He lived in the Roaring Fork Valley (Aspen, Colorado) for many years and was always known as the guy who could create something from nothing. Once he needed an engine for his new motorcycle that he was building from the ground up, but he had no money! However, that never stopped Howard! He did have an old VW engine laying around the yard which he decided to cut in half and install on his bike. His friends never doubted him for a moment, even though they had never heard of anyone doing such a thing. But did it run? Yes, and it ran fast all the way from Aspen to Sturgis for the annual Motorcycle Rally. An interesting article and pictures of one of Howard's bikes appeared in the October, 1983 issue of Easyridrs Magazine.
