Terraplane Hudson

This is a Fine Art photograph of a vintage Hudson Terraplane grille. On July 21, 1932 Amelia Earhart helped the Hudson Motor Company introduce their newest model of car, the Terraplane. It was during a move to launch their newest car design in the Great Depression. This vehicle has an all steel frame with a powerful V6 engine yet it was small, stylish and comfortable. The Terraplane was priced 'right' to accommodate the average man's budget for the time, but even the rich and famous purchased the car too, because of its eye catching look. Orville Wright was one who bought the Terraplane, he was very impressed with car's performance, no doubt, also intrigued by the car's name. In 1938 The Hudson Motor Company stopped production on the Terraplane, even though, it was one of their most affordable and popular cars. This fine art photo has a great appeal, it offers up the main question about Big Business that we all have. Why stop making something that everyone wants?
