This is a Fine Art photograph of a vintage Chevy car emblem. Research on the Gold Chevrolet logo offered different angles of thought. Louis Chevrolet first used the "bow tie emblem" as a logo in 1913. Opinions vary, it is thought by some that his business partner William C. Durant came up with a Parisian design from wall paper he once saw in a French hotel. More recent historians see that the design may have been based on a logo for "Coalettes," while other claim it could be a very stylized Swiss cross, in honor if the homeland of Chevrolet's parents.
