This is a Fine Art photograph of a vintage Dyna Flow emblem. This insignia let the perspective buyer of a Buick know that the engine had a five element torque converter with two turbines ans two stators which created two forward speeds and naturally a reverse. Even though, this car was mostly an automatic, it had to be manually shifted from low gear into high, improving acceleration. Buicks which were equipped with the Dyna flow system of transmission were very unique among American made automobiles. The Dyna flow acceleration was very smooth experience. The Buick Roadmaster was the well known of the cars that came equipped with the Dyna Flow advantage. Eventually, science and mechanics improved in car their designs and the Dyna Flow became no match for other new designs of engines, especially, ones that utilized the three element converters with automatic shifting.
